Note:

linc v1 is deprecated, because v2 is part of orbit2!
Besides that the last release is 8 years ago, so linc is a good
candidate for a final removal out of the OpenSDE package database.

The scrollkeeper package was removed because it is obsoleted by rarian.

ScrollKeeper was used by the GNOME desktop help browser, Yelp, but has since
been replaced by Rarian.

Note:

This could be done because now we are able to link against ncurses safely,
due to the change that we are moving '/lib/foo.so' symlinks to '/usr/lib',
thus pidgin's build system will not only find a static library of ncurses.

Note:

libcanberra is not used by GNOME desktops exclusively but also by KDE,
XFCE and most probably others too, so it makes no real sense to install
it into GNOME's prefix. Besides that libcanberra is not linking against
any GNOME specific library.

Note:

Initial reason for this change was that the gnome-session package was failing
because it couldn't find 'gconf-sanity-check'.
